Damian McGinty, who stars, has come a long way from that 18/19 year old boy who won “The Glee Project” and appeared in Season 3 of “Glee”. His voice is deeper, richer, fuller and he’s made great strides in his acting. He plays Pat Keeley, a young, undocumented Irish Lad who lands in New York and inadvertently gets mixed up with a criminal  played with relish by John Rhys-Davies. A series of mishaps lands Pat in Santa Fe, NM, where he hides in plain sight as a mall Santa. Themes of community, family, love, and faith carry throughout the film. Pat’s Santa makes everyone fall in love with him. And yes, Damian sings from “Danny Boy” and “Toora Loora Loora” to his sublime rendition of “O Holy Night”. Something tells me that Pat Keeley’s Santa carries a lot of Damian McGinty in his heart. Heather Morris, Tony Amendola, Jeff Fahey, and Judd Nelson also star.
